Why should I give Dear Holmes to my group?
There are a few common reasons to send Dear Holmes to a group:
- As a client gift: Keep your organization top-of-mind with key customers by sending them something fun in the mail every week.
- As a team-building activity: Improve the efficiency of your remote team and strengthen bonds by solving mysteries together. Dear Holmes can be played both competitively and collaboratively.
- As a communal activity: Delight your residents with a fun & immersive game they can play alone or with neighbors.
What groups would enjoy a Dear Holmes bundle?
Dear Holmes is a perfect group gift for anyone who loves mysteries. Popular use cases for our group bundles include as employee or client gifts or as a surprise for friends and relatives spread across the country, but we've seen it all.
Do group bundles include postage?
Yes. Group bundles include domestic USPS First Class postage. To set up an international group bundle, please email groups[at]dearholmes[dot]com to request a custom quote.
How many letters are included in my bundle?
Each bundle includes three clue letters and one solution letter per mystery for each person in your group. Orders of three mysteries per person or more also include a welcome letter at the start of your group's membership.
When will our mysteries start?
That's up to you. You'll receive an email after checkout from our group onboarding team with a link to upload your group's addresses and choose a start date. The next available start date is the next calendar month. You can select a start month up to a year in the future.
Will all members of my group receive the same mysteries and letters?
Yes. Your group's memberships will all start at the same time and each letter will arrive at a similar time (Because of USPS variability, they'll probably arrive to some addresses on different days).
How big or small can my group be?
Group bundles are available for groups of five or more people, but because of our pricing formula, they usually only make economic sense for groups of eight or more. We can handle groups of up to 2,000 with ease. For groups larger than that, please reach out for a custom quote.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards. For orders over $2,500 we also accept checks and wire/ACH. Please reach out to groups[at]dearholmes[dot]com if you'd like to use one of these alternate payment methods.
Can I use a coupon on my group order?
No. Since group bundles are offered at a steep volume discount, we cannot combine group bundle pricing with any other offers. We do offer an additional discount for educators using Dear Holmes in the classroom. Contact us for a custom educational quote.
Are my group members eligible to access the members-only podcast?
Yes, except for single-mystery bundles. Include a column in your spreadsheet with an email addresss for each member and they'll be able to set up podcast access on their own.
